For the first time, the European Helicopter Association (EHA) and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) are teaming up to create an exceptional showcase for the European rotorcraft community. EUROPEAN ROTORS will be the unique leading platform offering the industry an exhibition where all stakeholders (including OEMs, suppliers and operators) gather to do business and share knowledge in a comprehensive training and conference programme.

The renowned EASA Rotorcraft and VTOL Symposium will be integrated into the three-day event and will focus on the latest rotorcraft and VTOL (vertical take-off and landing) developments from a safety perspective. There will also be certified training sessions, best practice seminars, workshops and a stage on the show floor where topics of broader interest will be presented.

EUROPEAN ROTORS will empower the rotorcraft community to meet the challenges of the future and it will highlight the contribution helicopters make to the European community.

Join us for the first edition of EUROPEAN ROTORS on the 16h - 18th November 2021 at the Koelnmesse Convention Centre in Cologne, Germany! We look forward to seeing you there.

Travel & accommodation

How to get there

Whether you are travelling from another country or within Germany, Cologne and the venue Koelnmesse (Exhibition Centre) is easily accessible by car, train or plane.

By Car

Ten motorways are linked with the motorway ring around Cologne. This leads you directly to the fair grounds without being held up by crossroads or traffic lights. For the smart way, we recommend the Koelnmesse app NUNAV Navigation.

By Plane

The closest Airport, Köln Bonn, is only a 15 minutes’ drive away from Koelnmesse. If you arrive at the Airport in Duesseldorf it takes less than 60 minutes by car to get to the fairground or 1 hour and 15 minutes by train. The Frankfurt Airport is around 1 h and 45 min away by car or around 1 h by train.

By Train

Koelnmesse can be quickly reached by trains from many cities in Germany and abroad. In addition, the Köln Messe/Deutz station for high-speed trains (e.g. the ICE) is located directly next to the exhibition grounds. The main train station of Cologne, Köln Hauptbahnhof, is a 10 – 15 min train ride away of the Köln Messe/Deutz station.

Statements about the show

«Airbus Helicopters fully supported the responsible decision made by the EHA to postpone the first edition of European Rotors to 2021 in light of the covid-19 pandemic as it truly highlights the industry's unfaltering commitment to safety. We, as a member of EHA, strongly support the initiative to have a European trade show, in partnership with EASA, and in line with the industry`s expectations. This first edition enables Airbus Helicopters to showcase the innovation and technology that ensure high levels of safety for the men and women who fly our helicopters every day, and at the same time allows us to share our vision of the future of vertical flight. Meeting our customers` operational requirements, through our products and associated support and services, is our key priority and EUROPEAN ROTORS presents an invaluable opportunity to meet with them and listen to their current and future needs.»

Bruno Even
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Airbus Helicopters

«Leonardo Helicopters has a strong representation in Europe with its various helicopter products. EUROPEAN ROTORS will be the platform for obtaining information about the latest developments such as our AW 169, and for receiving interesting practical feedback from our customers in numerous best practice seminars. And having EASA present at the table at the same time, as it were, is a unique advantage. EUROPEAN ROTORS is therefore clearly set to become our most important trade fair in Europe.»

Roberto Garavaglia
Senior Vice President Strategy Leonardo Helicopters

«Bell is proud to support the new EUROPEAN ROTORS event launching in 2020 in Cologne, Germany. We thank the European Helicopter Association for bringing together the vertical lift industry and the aviation authorities to focus on the benefits and positive impact of helicopters on society, today and in the future. This event will be a driving force for the advancement of VTOL throughout Europe.»

Patrick Moulay
Senior Vice President Commercial Business - International Bell

«Safran wants the new EUROPEAN ROTORS show to be a powerful event for the European helicopter community and the general public. It is a unique opportunity to bring together actors within the helicopter and VTOL industries in the same location, centrally in Europe. Exhibitions, conferences, best-practice seminars and networking will make it an indispensable event; one in which Safran intends to have a growing stake.»

Franck Saudo
CEO of Safran Helicopter Engines
