The breifings are free of charge. Seating is limited, which is why we are using the first-come, first-served method. EASA will provide a comprehensive briefing on Rotorcraft Icing Certification. The aim of this workshop is to introduce the key concepts related to rotorcraft icing, the corresponding area of safety concerns, for certification into known icing conditions. The in-flight icing basic phenomena and the relevant parameters are also briefly introduced. Vincenzo Brandi has been working with EASA as Icing & ECS expert since 2006. He is currently in the General Aviation & VTOL Department of the Certification Directorate responsible for the icing & ECS certification of the main European rotorcraft and business jet program. Before joining EASA he has been a researcher for more than 10 years with the Italian Aerospace Research Center (Capua, Italy) in the icing & aerodynamic domain. In this capacity he mainly contributed to enhancements into numerical icing simulation on aircraft. He is co-author of several conference/journal papers and has been leader of EU funded collaborative project on icing/aerodynamic research.Vincenzo Brandi holds a “Magister Laurea” Degree (Master level) in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Naples “Federico II”.
